Bastian Knoppers has been a payments industry leader for over 45 years. In 1979 he founded CardPro Services and served as its’ CEO until 1999 when Metavante Corporation acquired Cardpro Services. With the subsequent acquisition of Metavante by FIS in 2009, he continued to lead the Cardpro business unit as Group Executive until 2021.
Today he serves in Business Development, leading in key Product Development, M&A and Enterprise Sales opportunities.
A top three U.S. EMV chip card personalization provider, FIS/Cardpro employs approximately 600 people at its MasterCard, Visa, America Express, Discover, PCI compliant card personalization facilities in St. Petersburg FL, San Antonio TX, and Romeoville IL. serving over 5,000 clients.
Bastian has a Business degree from Calvin University in Grand Rapids, Michigan. He currently serves as Board of Trustee for Providence Life Services Foundation and Timothy Christian Schools Foundation. Bastian has also served as Board President for Calvin University and Board President of Timothy Christian Schools, as well as several other civic/charitable organizations.
